Watson drops out

Lawrence Watson (D-PA) announced that he was dropping out of the District 1 Senate race. He said that even with Preferential Voting, he wanted to sure of Democratic support for Nation and keep Colin Wixted (R-PA) out of the Senate.

Nation is now the prohibitive favorite in this race, being a respected moderate, former Senator and Presidential candidate. Wixted is running on a platform of being someone new, but how well it will work is still up in the air.
