Endorsements Flying Around

Several prominent citizens of Atlasia have made endorsements recently in the Mid-Term elections. Former President Gustaf, The National Atlasian and The Radical Feminist Party announced their endorsements recently. The only party endorsements that are still competive are that of the AFDNC in District 3, and UAC in District 5.

District 1: Supersoulty (G, NA) IrishDemocrat (RF)
District 2: Siege40 (G, RF) Badnarikin04 (NA)
District 3: Al (G) TexasGurl (RF)
District 4: Hermit (G, NA) Harry (RF)
District 5: StevenNick (G, NA, RF)

The Mid-Atlantic News will not be making endorsements, and if the editor, Akno21, disagrees with the endorsements of his party, he will make his separate endorsements not affiliated with the newspaper. The National Atlasian's endorsements can be known as ColinW's, and the Radical Feminist Party's can be known as TexasGurl's.

StevenNick Ready for Re-election

SEATTLE, WASHINGTON- Incumbent Senator StevenNick (R-WA) kicked off his campaign for re-election in District 5 yesterday. He stressed his support of the Defense Department, his efforts to lower health care, his efforts to ensure that Preferntial Voting would be used, and his opposition to increasing government spending on education.

He tried to push himself as more than a Senator, he talked about his personal life. He discussed his good relationship with the District's other Senator, John F. Kennedy (UAC-CA). He said he would reach out to everybody in his District, no matter what political orientation. "I hope that this campaign is about ideas more than personality, ideologies rather than parties," he said in his speech.

Later in the day, he challenged his Democratic counterpart Gabu, also of Washington to a debate, and the challenge was accepted. With the UAC not running a candidate, expect both candidates to push toward the middle, as they know they need UAC support.
