Senate Possibilities

Early in the Senate campaigns, most candidates have not even delcared yet. However, several races seem to already have likely candidates. In District 1, Senator Defarge faces stiff opposition from ColinW. Defarge, although a Democrat, is moderate and gained applause for the way he handled the past Senate election in his district. The district leans Conservative, but Defarge is popular among moderates. In District 2, Former Senator Akno21 is challenging Bono for his seat, and the district is heavily Democratic. With Bono being a staunch Conservative, Akno should pick up the liberal vote easily, and possibly part of the moderate vote, although he is unpopular among moderates. In District 3, Nym90 is a lock to retain his seat if he runs, and if he doesn't the district is heavily Democratic, so it will go to the liberal candidate. In District 4, If Harry can campaign as a moderate and paint StatesRights has a far Conservative, he stands a chance. Unfourtantly for him, StatesRights has proposed moderate legislation recently, but he hasn't been that active. In District 5, John F. Kennedy is a staple of the Senate, but Gabu showed that a Democrat can win in the Pacific. Perhaps Alcon, or Lewis Trondhiem. The Senate races will be interesting, but overshadowed.
