Fritz Resigns

NYMAN- Secretary of Forum Affairs Fritz has resigned his position as Chairman of the Democratic Party. He said he did not feel he was going to be active enough to perform duties, and, for the good of his party, he should step down and let someone more active be chairmanship. The task falls to former Senator Akno21, who was Vice-Chair of the party.

Fritz took over the AFDNC when it was at it's lowest point, all prominent members having deserted. However, starting with the election of Akno21 and TexasGurl to the Senate over the summer, increased registration, and the collapse of the AFIP, the party is among the three largest in the nation. Fritz was universally respected, and his resignation left many saddened and stunned.

Akno21 has been the subject of criticism lately due to his role as Campaign manager of a Senate campaign that has recently seen a surge in Democratic registration in that area. However, although Akno21 may not have Fritz's universal popularity, he has been elected to office twice, and has been called a good leader. The party is strong enough at this point to withstand new occurances, whatever they may be.
