Nation Out

BUFFALO, NEW YORK- Former Senator Nation dropped out of the race for Senate in District 1. Citing health problems, the October 2004 Presidential candidate said he would be back, but not now. Running in a high-powered race against ColinW, a Pennsylvania Republican, Nation had the liberal support locked up, but needed to make inroads with moderate blue-avatarees. Being a centrist himself, he had the tools to do that. A new leftist/centrist candidate will have a tough time competing for Senator Defarge's seat.

A possible candidate is Lawrence Watson, who dropped out the race when Nation got in. He is a Pennsylvania Democrat, but would need to do serious campaigning to have a chance at victory. ColinW seems likely to finally recieve elected office this February.
